Women’s Wellness Weekend Retreats for Breast Cancer Survivors

This summer five 3-day life-balancing women’s wellness retreats will be offered at Grass Lake Sanctuary to survivors of breast cancer.

Who? If you or someone you know is a woman diagnosed with Stage I, II, or III breast cancer having completed active treatment and is interested in taking the next steps toward wellness, contact Christie Morgan, Grass Lake Sanctuary Program Coordinator at 734-408-1552 or visit their website, www.grasslakesanctuary.org.
Women who are underinsured, underserved or have low income and live in Washtenaw, Jackson, Ingham, Livingston, Eaton, Clinton, or Shiawassee Counties are eligible for FULL  scholarships, provided through a grant from the Mid-Michigan Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure.

What? This special three-day event includes Life-Balancing experiences such as:

  • Beautiful and Comfy Bungalow Accommodations
  • Make-Your-Own Organic Pizza in Wood Fired Oven
  • Learn about Nutritional Recipes
  • Nature and Art Activities

  • De-Stress Free Time to Hike, Contemplate and Rest
  • Relaxing Therapeutic Massage

Where? Grass Lake Sanctuary is a 145-acre non-profit retreat sanctuary located in Manchester, Michigan dedicated to helping individuals and families re-establish life-balancing connections with nature, healthy relationships, creativity from the heart, healthy food, and therapeutic massage.

When? Retreat weekends for summer 2011 are: July 1-3, 8-10, 29-31 & August 5-7, 26-28.
