On Tuesday, March 26th, Dr. John Piette will present on the use of mobile health care services in addressing health disparities. This talk will take place in the School of Public Health Building I, Room 1655 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
John D. Piette, Ph.D., is a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan (UM), Director of the UM Center for Quality Improvement for Complex Chronic Conditions, and Senior Research Scientist in the Ann Arbor VA Center for Clinical Management Research. His research includes studies aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of chronic illness care, with an emphasis on: self-management support, mobile health interventions, vulnerable populations, and resource-limited environments. Dr. Piette has written extensively on problems of medication adherence, emphasizing the health beliefs and other co-factors that
modify patients’ adherence behavior in the context of out-of-pocket cost pressures.
