Come run for diabetes awareness this Saturday, April 13th in the Nichols Arboretum (Washington Heights Entrance). Registration at the event is at 1 PM and the 5k kicks off at 2 PM. You can also register for the event here.

This event is sponsored by the Students for Diabetes Awareness, a U-M student group with the purpose of increasing awareness about diabetes among students on the University of Michigan campus, forming support networks for students with diabetes, and raising funds to contribute to the effort to find a cure. Proceeds benefit University of Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center, the American Diabetes Association Summer Camps, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, and D.R.E.A.M.

The run will be on an unpaved route so strollers are not recommended. Dogs on a leash are welcome however.
