This Week is Transgender Awareness Week!

From the Spectrum Center Website

November 12th to 19th finds us celebrating Transgender Awareness Week. The goal of which is to educate the public about Trans* issues. The week will culminate with Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 15th. Transgender of Remembrance tragically began after two men followed transgender woman Rita Hester to her apartment on this street and fatally stabbed her inside in 1998 (Boston Spirit).
